What is Scalp Micropigmentation?
Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) is a non-surgical hair restoration technique that involves the precise application of specialized pigments to the scalp. This procedure creates the appearance of tiny hair follicles to add density to thinning areas, cover scars, and create a more youthful hairline.


Consultation and Planning: The process begins with a thorough consultation either in person or online to understand the client's hair loss pattern, skin type, and desired look. This phase includes discussing the hairline design, density, and pigment color to match the natural hair or desired outcome.

 

Preparation: Prior to the Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) treatment, the scalp is cleaned and prepped to ensure the area is sterile. A topical numbing agent is applied to minimize discomfort.

 

Pigment Application: Using a micro-needle, the technician implants layer upon layer of pigment into the scalp's dermal layer. This step is meticulously performed to mimic the natural growth pattern and density of your hair. Each session can last between two to four hours, depending on the area's size and the desired density.

 

Layering and Detailing: Multiple sessions are usually required, spaced a few weeks apart, to build up the density and shade of the scalp treatment.
